Area IV Young Rider Camp

June 29-July 1st, 2018     Barrington Hills, IL

USEA Area IV Young Riders welcome Level IV ICP Certified instructor, A Pony Club Graduate, veteran CCI**** competitor and our own Young Rider Coach Allison Springer for a 3 day educational experience in Barrington Hills, IL June 29-July 1st, 2018.

Don't miss this opportunity to learn at the lovely Spring Creek Valley Forest Preserve, host to Fox River Valley Pony Club Horse Trials with access from the Barringon Hills Riding Center.

Camp format includes:
1 group dressage lesson
1 group show jumping lesson
1 group cross country lesson over the courses from FRVPC Horse Trial

Allison focuses on establishing the 3 key ingredients for a fantastic jump:
1. The Canter 2. Rider in the middle of the horse 3. Access to the horse's top line.

Her instruction builds upon establishing the proper solid foundation so that the rider can positively influence the horse. She establishes reasonable expectations of the horse and rider combination and has a clear method of communicating the steps to reach these goals. Allison provides consistent instruction throughout the lessons and maintains a positive learning environment.

Camp is limited to 12 horse/rider pairs. Open to all riders but preference given to paid Area IV Young Riders.

Stabling is available at a cost of $105 for Thursday - Sunday at Oakwood Farm. 362 Bateman Road in Barrington Hills.
