Hagyard Midsouth Team Challenge

Area IV Young Riders will select riders at BN, Novice, Training and Preliminary levels as well as grooms to represent Area IV at the Hagyard Midsouth Team Challenge. Interested riders will be required to submit an application, 1 letter of reference and meet requirements in order to represent Area IV.

Riders who represent Area IV Young Riders at Midsouth will receive Area IV Young Rider apparel and saddle pads. Their entry and stabling for Hagyard Midsouth will be paid by the Area IV Young Rider program. Grooms will receive Area IV Young Rider apparel and grooming totes. Riders and grooms will be responsible for their travel expenses and any additional stabling requested.

Individuals at the Intermediate, P3D, T3D and FEI levels will also be selected to represent Area IV. Interested riders will be required to submit an application and meet defined requirements in order to represent Area IV.

Riders who represent Area IV Young Riders at Midsouth will receive Area IV Young Rider apparel and saddle pads. Grooms will receive Area IV Young Rider apparel and grooming totes. Riders are responsible for their entry, travel and stabling expenses. Grooms are responsible for their own travel expenses.

Area IV Young Riders welcome coach Allison Springer to Sundance Farm in Plymouth, WI for an intensive 3-day educational opportunity July 10th-12th, 2020. This camp is OPEN TO ALL… Adult riders and young riders at all levels are welcome.

Registration is currently open. COVID safety measures will be followed as deemed necessary by local regulations. In the event of cancellation, full refunds will be issued.

Area IV YR Intent to Qualify Required by February 1st, 2020. This Intent to Qualify is submitted in order to assist the Team Coach, Chef and Selectors in identifying, early in the 2020 NAYC qualification/selection process, who has thoughts about qualifying and what their overall training, competition plan looks like. By submitting your Area IV YR Intent to Qualify early, you will be able to receive additional guidance navigating the maze of FEI requirements.

XC Schooling & Combined Test to Benefit Area IV Young Riders

Mission Valley Pony Club in conjunction with Area IV Young Riders will host an open cross-country schooling at Longview Horse Park in Grandview, MO on Saturday, October 12th. Proceeds will benefit the Area IV Young Riders Program.

A schooling Combined Test will be held Sunday, October 13th at Longview Horse Park and will offer dressage and cross-country phases.

Area IV Young Riders team up with Area IV Adult Riders in a 4 rider team competition at Otter Creek Farms Summer Horse Trials.

You can sign up an entire team or as an individual and we will help coordinate a team.

North American Youth Championships

The Adequan/FEI North American Youth Championships (NAYC) competition is held annually in the summer. The NAYC is the pinnacle of a young rider's achievement. Teams from all areas of the U.S. as well as from Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, the Bahamas and the Caribbean are invited to compete in this international event. The championship models the format of the Olympic Games. In the Eventing competition, each area will send a team and/individuals to represent their area. From very early on, many young riders see this as a potential goal for themselves as they progress through the levels of competition.

USEA Area IV Young Riders are excited to provide a unique educational event at Stone Ridge Eventing that incorporates unmounted lectures and mounted sessions with Allison Springer: Area IV Young Rider Coach, A Pony Club Graduate, Level IV USEA ICP Certified Instructor and Rolex Veteran. Clinic is open to all riders at all levels, with preference given to USEA Area IV Young Rider Members. Riders will be grouped according to experience level for this 2 day jumping clinic.
