XC Educational Event at Mid-Mo Riding Center: Columbia, MO- POSTPONED


USEA Area IV Young Riders are excited to provide a unique educational event at Mid-Mo Riding Center in Columbia, MO that incorporates unmounted lectures and mounted sessions. Instructors include Crystal Kendrick and Julie Chapman. THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED AS A RESULT OF COVID-19. WATCH FOR NEW DATES AS THE PANDEMIC SUBSIDES.

Crystal Kendrick is a B Level Graduate of the USPC and has competed through the Preliminary Level of eventing as well as the 3'6" hunters, Jr. Equitation and High Preliminary Jumpers. Crystal worked extensively with New Spring Farm before accepting a a working student for Olympic Gold Medalist Darren Chiacchia. Under Darren's tutelage she learned how to prepare for, condition and groom at international 3-Day competitions. Crystal has also trained with Ralph Hill, Greg Best, Andras Szieberth and many more.

Julie Chapman rode as a competitive member of the UK Pony Club progressing then to British Riding Clubs as an adult. She studied Equine Management at the University of West Sussex, UK Julie qualified as a British Horse Society Assistant Instructor, Association of British Riding Schools Stable Manager and British Riding Clubs Equitation Level 4. Julie has competed through Affiliated British Eventing (Preliminary USA equivalent) and British Dressage (3rd Level equivalent). Julie has represented the area riding club at all national discipline championships over the last 15 years on both own and client's horses. She is currently pursuing qualification as an FEI Steward. Her passion is coaching riders of all ages and abilities, specializing in building confidence in aspiring event riders.

Format:

Saturday
AM: Galloping, Jump Position & Pace with Crystal Kendrick
PM: Dressage for XC with Julie Chapman
Educational topics at meals and throughout the day.

Sunday:
XC Schooling with Crystal Kendrick or Julie Chapman
Educational topics at meals and throughout the day.

Mounted Registration Includes:
3 Mounted Sessions
Bunk-Style Human Overnight Accommodations Friday PM - Sunday.

Overnight stabling available on-site: $85 Friday PM- Sunday.

Clinic is open to all riders at all levels, with preference given to USEA Area IV Young Rider Members. Riders will be grouped according to experience level for this 2 day jumping clinic.
